Keith's economical general-purpose floor standing furnaces are proven workhorses for a wide variety of heat treatments for metals, ceramics, electronics, glass, and artwork. If you need an economical alternative for heating to as high as 2250F, then this furnace can do the job done without hurting your pocketbook.
Typical metal heat treating applications include hardening, solution heat treating, stress relieving, annealing, aging, and tempering may well perfomed in this type furnace. For processing ceramics and electronic components this versatile line of Keith furnaces may be used for drying, calcining, binder burn-out and sintering. Other uses may include glass and ceramic decorating. For artwork there is glass melting, bending, fusing and annealing.
- Larger volume heating chamber volume than bench top furnaces
- Heating elements mounted in side walls and floor
- Counter-balanced vertically lifting door.
- Electrcially heated
- Metal heat treating
- Firing of electronic components
- Materials processing
- Ceramics and art glass
This family of furnaces is offered as a high temperature line typically used for hardening metal, porcelain ceramics and applications requiring processing temperatures as high as 2250F intermittently, and 2100F continuously. These higher temperature models of Keith box furnace have a model number ending with a letter "B."

For those processes that consistently require lower processing temperatures, Keith offers a similar line of low temperature rated furnaces designed to operate at 1250F intermittently, and 1200F continuously. Convection heating at these temperatures is enhanced by a stainless steel recirculating fan. Typical lower temperature applications may include wax burnout, epoxy or binder burn-off, and for metal heat treating draw. Because these lower temperature rated models of Keith box furnace are most commonly used for metal heat treat draw, this family of furnaces have a Keith model number ending with the letters "DW."
